If you want an MS-powered device, there's always the RAZRBerry, to be released early next year.

The site www.DavesPDA.com is reporting the folowing...

PalmOne may pickup a Windows based OS for a version of its Treo device. Orange is rumored to have such a device for testing.

For those who think the rumors are all wet...They also have a lot of inside info on HTC manufacturing.
  3. #63
That's a pretty old piece of rumor. It was originally from NewsWireless.net back in April. No comment on veracity, I'm just saying it's not new.

AdamaDBrown, no it was not an old rumor from NewsWireless.net in April. It was just posted to DavesPDA.com. Why do any of us every try contributing to these boards when people who are obviously new here are here to flame other posters. By the way, did you happen to follow the link I used in the post before calling the information old?

Yes, perhaps you want to look at the pics here (in particular, the first pic.)

It's the same tired photo that gets recycled. It's been photoshopped with a Windows Mobile screen

I don't know.... Iam not a foernsics expert nor can I make the jusgement its fake simply because what specs are stated....
as for the 1.2 BT...of course if everyone is wanting it they wil state that....no they wouldn't just say bluetooth if its a new version that everyone is wanting.
THats like saying Dodge not stating they are using the Hemi again since we already know its got an engine.....
If you look at the shadow on the side of phone the light seems to be a bit above the phone....the shadow starts an inch or so down....well the antenna shadow would most likely if at all be barely visible.....The logo would be put on a prototype as soon as possible to give them an idea of what it will look like......since after all the logo is new.....
The pic itself is all pixel-y so who knows..... i am not holding my breath for it anyways....
When it gets ehre I'll get it until then I have a perfectly good and working 650...

Both photos in that thread were photoshopped. If you wish to believe in Santa Claus, go right ahead.

Really easy explaination. I made it. We (bargainPDA)ran a story about me doing this fake as the original image was posted here and talked about months ago. It happened to be that it was near the same day the latest HP h6515 was announced and so I took the screen from that and played a bit. I made the fake on purpose to show what we were all looking for in the orignial image. Within the original image, there is a WM interface that was somewhat carefully edited out (just not enough) and from that and some pixel tricks, I pulled out the screen and then just placed this image on top of it.

In conculsion, the WM Treo is real. Probably still undergoing testing, and will most likely come out if need be. If PalmOS sales pick up, then maybe not for the short term, but I can see them doing it down the line.

Here is the link debunking the first picture, you know, the one the specs noting 1.2 "bluetooh"

And I already posted a link for the second photo.

    What about this photo:

Someone needs to post a link to a thread debunking this one too.

Not to mention that the Windows logo is not one there. That multicolored flag is everywhere on anything Windows, is isn't?

I'm pretty sure that if it's powered by Windows, Microsoft will make sure you know it before you even turn the device on.

Just like with the ID/Creationism vs Evolution thread, why does it have to be mutually exclusive?

I'd recommend getting the picture first though.
