    Did they ever take a look at your charger? Sounds to me something might be wrong with that and causing damage to the phone port.

    Interesting thought, that could definately be possible. I would try to get them to replace the cable along with the device and see if that does anything. Crumbs or dirt in the connector would do all sorts of nasty things.
