I have the SERO plan and purchased a Treo Pro last month. I have been using the heck out of the data and wondered how much data people who have the SERO plan use on a regular basis.....I am at a job where I can use headphones, so I stream ESPNRadio and Pandora for about 6 hours a day. My minutes just started on the 3rd, and I am already up to half a gig of data so far.

I know some have had their SERO plans revoked because of excessive data usage (mainly those who used their phone to tether from what I can tell), and I was just wondering how much data those of you who have SERO and this phone have been able to use without any problem. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

5GB is usually the fair use threshold (which I base upon their limit on Aircards as well).

Me personally I tether also with WMWifirouter occasionally and my rule of thumb is not to exceed 5GB data usage combined per month.

I'd agree 100% with this answer...

Although, I can't say that I've pushed more than 3 gb in a given month.... normally around 2 gb.

Meh, I've got a SERO data card plan that mysteriously has never been given the 5gb cap everyone else seems to have been slapped with... I push 20gb each month; been doing that for two years now.

I also tether my Treo Pro and Samsung Rant on the road often and I put on well over 5gb without issue.

Does this mean you should do this too? No Just relaying my experiences.

I use about 1gb of data a month w/o teathering. Lowest I think in the past year has been around 200mb. Average is around 400k.

I my opinion, people that push more than 5gb on a regular basis(especially those that more than double it), will eventually cause a 5gb cap for all of us.

    Hello all...

For those of you that tether...

    1) is it on sprint?
    2) are you using the icsenable.cab and the Internet connection Sharing program?
    3) if so, have you gotten bills to confirm you are NOT being charged?
    4) were you successful in changing the registry item LastCellConnection from "Phone as Modem" to "Sprint PCS"? (I was not- it always reverts back to "Phone as Modem"...do you think this matters?

I miss not being able to use "USBMODEM"...I just want to know how well this method works...I just got this phone and didn't know DUN would be an issue.

    Much appreciated...THANKS!

    Plex...
