I've been having a problem on my Palm Pro with ActiveSync not syncing at all, initially I thought it was a problem with ZoneAlarm so in frustration I deleted ZoneAlarm but the problem is still there, I've updated ActiveSync to Ver. 4.5..didn't help.

I get a message pop-up in ActiveSync that says 86000107 error.

I've checked the net and can't find a definitive fix, for everyone that has a fix there is another couple who it doesn't work for.

PC is an XP Pro with all updates and ActiveSync 4.5

    Any advice would be appreciated.

OK I looked and found this page and deleted the partnership as directed and I have now been able to sync the Pro and PC.

I will come back with an update in a week if it works/doesn't work.

My life has been so much smoother since I hooked up an Exchange account... ota sync is great... even better when using multiple phones.

Obviously, some can't (or won't use) ota sync... no biggie, hopefully they will try it soon.

    Good luck...

I use OTA Exchange Direct Push and pay 'hosted' exchange fees with mail2web and it is great, yes you have it right. I have had like about 5 Windows Mobile phone since I got my exchange acct (Cingular 8525, Treo 750, At&t TILT/TyTNII, Moto Q9h and Treo Pro) and all work great with OTA sync of contacts, calendar, tasks and specially 'direct push' email.

My problem with OTA syncing is that I need to sync 3 computers between 2 Exchange accounts: a work desktop, a home desktop and a laptop syncing a company Exchange account with my personal Exchange account. Local ActiveSync limits me to 2 PCs, and Exchange limits me to 1 account. When I used POS Treos, I had a Palm Desktop client on each machine and took the ability to sync 3 machines for granted. Hosted Exchange would be the perfect solution if WM devices supported multiple Exchange accounts. The EnableLocalCrossPollination reg hack hasn't worked for me -- it may only work on servers running off of Exchange 2003, and not 2007.

Eventually I gave up and just decided to leave my home desktop out of the equation, perhaps getting a GooSync account to at least access my current PIM data from the cloud.

To my knowledge, there's no way to sync email two Exchange accounts, but the crosspollination setting will allowed you to sync contacts, calendar, and tasks with multiple computers. Unfortunately, I'm guessing you're interested also syncing email.

Maybe someone else knows of a different third-party solution?
