Kevin gave you one, there are lots more. My favorite is psShutXP, which is skinnable to match the look of the rest of your interface. And, with a little practice, you can use the stylus to reset without moving the cover at all. For those times when something locks up your phone beyond being able to get to a software reset.

psSHUTxp- Puts a small red icon on the today screen. Just touch it and it will soft reset the device. Its a free app. Do a search to find. I can't link it, I'm on my phone.

So you can do a reset with the stylus without taking the cover off? How do you do it?

You have to feel around for the reset hole with the stylus tip. It's deeper than anything else you'll find. Press, wait a second for the telltale restart vibration. The stylus will be flush against the top of the stylus slot & about at a 45 degree angle from all the adjacent surfaces.

Just install psSHUTxp. You will have a small icon on the Today screen. Press it with your finger, done. Forget about pulling the stylus.

I picked up HandyMenu from handango for my soft reset needs on the Treo Pro but it will cost you $5.99. It has other features too, but all of them don’t work (including hard reset) but soft reset works great.

The best part is you can assign a hardware button for soft reset, I personally use alt + calendar so I don’t inadvertently reset the device.

I have attached pcSHUTxp. After you download it. Go to start, programs, psSHUTxp. When the "Shut Down" pop up comes up check the little box next to the clock that says "Today Icon". This will put the icon on the today screen and like I mentioned just touch it with your finger to either Shut Down or Soft Rest.
