First off I've had this phone since near launch. The battery sucked at first but got better after a week. A couple of weeks ago my battery went from lasting me all day to only 5 hours. The phone and battery gets very hot as well. Solutions?

I guess there was an update to Opera Mobile. I updated and now when i use the start opera mini shortcut it just keeps on refreshing and when i try to close it my phone keeps on typing #4 repeatedly. So now if I want to use opera I need to launch using set up. Solutions?

    1. Battery may be toast. I have 3 batteries and just rotate them.

    2. Go back to Opera Mini 4.1. I had the same issues with 4.2 plus it asked me to many questions just to connect.

Could be a lot of things, including the battery itself. Have you tried backing up with Sprite and doing a hard reset and just running bare for a few hours to see performance? You might want to rule out hardware if possible.

Here is Opera Mini 4.2 (latest) with Java. No popup messages/permission requests. Runs smooth. Just uninstall your current Java setup and install that .cab. It even creates a program icon to direct run the app.

I have 3 batteries and they all do that. And I'll try the new java you linked. Its odd because sometimes my battery will last again. I havent done a hard reset since October so is it time to do it again?
