I have the current Opera Mobile version installed on the Pro. It will run once fine, but after I close it, it pops up a "widget" screen and will not launch properly again. The only fix is a soft reset. IE runs without issue.

Anyone else seeing this issue? I really like Opera Mobile, but a soft reset every time I want to use it is not doable.

    Thanks.

I have seen this and the only way around it I have seen is to use the menu and "Exit" option rather than the "X" in the top right corner. If you use the Exit command then you can repoen the browser again. This is one of the things that drove me to use the Iris Browser rather than Opera right now. Maybe 9.7 will fix this if there is no other way around it right now.

How do you find Iris in comparison to Opera?

I like both of the browsers, but I have just found a few quirks in Opera that make me want to use something different. I really like Iris a lot. It is quick (very close to the same speed of Opera) and seems to render pages just as good if not better. Some people have mentioned issues with Iris, but I have really had none. I am not fond of the bookmarks page right now, but it is not that big of a deal. They are certainly still usable and you can import from other browsers which is a nice feature. Overall I like it and once they fix some of the bugs in Opera I would be happy to have both of them on my device. You should check it out...in my opinion it is definitely worth a look.

I don't have any problems using Opera Mobile on the Sprint Treo Pro

Neither do I. I've never seen the widget thing except for the icon for it.

Thanks, I will try that one (I avoided it because I thought I did not need it.)

Opera Mobile needs to have an option to store its cache in Storage card. It's a memory hog.

I've read of a way to do this, but I haven't tried it myself.
