    Hey Guys,

So, I had a 755p that I had backed up to a MicroSD daily (using BackUp v1.7.8). Now I have the sprint Treo PRO and the old SD card (but don't have the 755p). Does anyone know if there's a way to get the data (mostly contacts, SMS, call logs, photos) from the SD card to my treo pro?

    Thanks!

What desktop program were you stroring your contacts and stuff on? Outlook or Palm Desktop? If it's Outlook, when you sync for the first time, it should transfer all of that information. If it's Palm Desktop, I'm not sure it can be done since you're now dealing with a Windows enviroment. Also, since the SD card will not fit into the Treo Pro, what I did to transfer my other data was to transfer the data from the SD card to folder on my computer using an SD card reader. Then I copied that data to the microSD card I was using in my Pro. But be aware that the file/folder structures are different on Windows OS cards than on Palm OS cards. For example, Palm cards have a Launcher and Palm folder, which aren't on the Windows cards. But at least the data will be there.

Actually, the card I was using to make the backups on my 755p was, indeed a microSD (in one of those sleeves)... so the micro fits into my Palm Pro-- make a sound that it recognizes it-- but doesn't give any indication that it's there.

Is the card formatted FAT, FAT16 or FAT32. That may be part of the problem. I know that I've switched cards between my 755p and 800w & 700wx and they were able to be read in each phone.

I would visit the software maker's site and see if there is a way to open the data in order to insert the information into either outlook, gmail or something else... kinda depends...

Be interesting to see how you work this out going directly into the device with the data... using a computer to do the heavy lifting would be a better way... IMO....

Last night, I got the old 755p working - just synced it to Palm Desktop-> exported Contacts to CSV file and imported into Outlook- then synced to Treo Pro. .. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get the rest of the data over, ie. SMS threads and Datebook. Anyone have any suggestions?
