I have been using BlackBerry's since I abandoned my T650 three years ago and have used the 8703e, 8830, and now the 8330. Friday night I purchased the Treo Pro on a whim. I was eligible for upgrade and with the spy shots of the Niagara looking a little disappointing and it's arrival seems as though it is going to be delayed til Q3/4, I decided to give WinMob and the Treo a go.

    Initial Impressions

The feel of this new Treo is excellent. I love the way it fits in my hand and the slick surfaces feel great. Not quite sure how it might feel with sweaty hands. I am a little disappointed in fit of the battery cover. It does not fit 100% perfect. There is a corner that moves and makes a creak when I use it with one hand. This is slightly disappointing and one of my pet-peaves. Nothing more unnerving than typing and having the phone creak and move in your hands. The keyboard takes some getting used to compared to the Curve's. The amount of apps and tweaks available on the Treo obviously trumps the Curve, but the Curve owns the ease of use category. With some of Palm/HTC's tweaks the Treo is pretty intuitive. I have gotten so used to the "email centric" ways of the BB's, so the Pro is taking some getting used too. I love the fact that Skyfire supports flash video...access to Hulu is awesome.

I am still missing my Curve right now, but I am going to give the Treo Pro a couple more days before I decide whether I am going back to the Curve...

I think BB got nice screen. Does yours has the rolling ball in the middle? I dont like that.

    Pro is thinner.

How do you like BB software compared to WM software?
    Dell x51v → Motorola Q (Verizon) → Mogul → 800w → Treo Pro → Touch Pro 2 (SERO) → HTC EVO 3D → HTC EVO 4G LTE → HTC One S → Nexus 4

The roller ball is blessing and a curse. I love it for it's fast input and ability to manipulate the cursor on the web browser. I hate the roller ball due to the fact that once it gets dirty it is worthless for accuracy. The interface for the BlackBerry is relatively simple with a icon-centric setup. Alot of the basic phone functionson the BB are not very intuitive.

I hate my BB... although, I have to carry it due to certain items I need vs. WM. I carry two devices... if I had my way, I'd skip the BB across a lake like a skipping rock.

And let that darn thing sink...

Keyboard on the BB is terrible... My treo 700wx, 800w (returned), and q9c kills the BB's keyboard.

Can you access websites like MSNBC (with the Treo Pro out the box/no additional software) and click on a video to watch a clip? Similar to a desk top?
