You can also load the Advanced Configuration Tool from xda-developers (also requires the .NET Framework cab file) - that will let you soft-reset the device without removing the battery door.

Advanced Configuration Tool - The ultimate tweaking tool for Windows Mobile

Go to the bottom of the page. You need to install the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 cab file first.

It helps to look at the device as a computer with a bare-bones OS. There is a ton of software out there to tweak/personalize it to your liking (a lot of it is free) but it's up to you how you want to customize it. The smartphone version (at least on the Moto Q series) did include things like profiles, a nice Bluetooth manager app, sliding panels homescreen in 6.1, etc., but the smartphone OS is much more limited overall.

I have had my Treo Pro since last October and I love it...best smartphone I ever owned and I almost tossed an HP 910c against a brick wall (before returning it and getting this instead). But I too hated the inability to soft reset without yanking the battery. I just want to occasionally "reboot" like with a PC. That was my only complaint, so this tool will be much appreciated.

or reset program from phm tools, but this won't work say if your device is totally frozen up which has happened to my 800W on quite a few occasions.
