I have had my Palm Treo 750 for a couple of years now, and I have never understood what the value of using the AT&T Xpress mail feature is. Although I periodically have to get my mail from my consulting clients email servers, I have never bothered to set up Xpress Mail.

Since I can set the Treo to go fetch my email for me via the Inbox Delivery Preferences, it just seemed like the Xpress Mail was a bunch of fluff ... overkill.

However, maybe I am missing something here...

Can someone tell me what the pros and cons of using the Xpress Mail are? Why use it?

    Thanks!

Isn't the AT&T Express mail some version of Seven?

I don't know... ??? I just know it is some sort of push mail system... but I don't understand what the benefits of that are.

Advantage is that you get your mail as soon as the email server receives a new one. It saves the devices from running scheduled sync if there is no mail.

Allows to sync contacts and schedules as well.

I am not an AT&T subscriber but I know what Seven is capable of doing.

Ok, that is what I was looking for... now I get it.

I will have to get myself set up since I do use the email occasionally on the Treo.
