    does anyone have an option to disable the new aim conversation window that pops-up from AIM? i seem to remember that there may have been a checkbox for that in sounds&notifications, but i can't be sure. alternatively, does anyone know how to stop them?

    Why don't you just check the settings? It takes less time than coming here and posting about it.

    And yes, it's in the settings.

    i'm really not concerned with saving time. i'm posting here because i couldn't, and still cannot find the setting to do it.

    Why not just remove the program and install Fring or one of the many free interoperable messaging clients that work well?

    I believe this is what you're looking for:

    Start the app.
    Push the right soft key for Menu
    From the Settings Menu item, select Global Settings
    Uncheck the box for Enable BackGround IM Alerts
    Bell Rotary --> Kyocera 6035 --> Kyocera 7135 --> Palm Treo 800w

    octrotalk is by far the best (and free) IM client I've come across. Instant communication with desktop pc's, run's fine in the background, and doesn't maintain a constant data connection. They've recently picked development back up again too with several updates recently.

    No problem. I don't know why people have to post rude responses. If they can't help, don't reply.
