i was wondering if there is a setting to auto disconnect from web. i want to set up my 700wx to check email every 2 hrs but then disconnect from the web to save battery. any ideas or second hand apps that will do that.

If you are not actively using the 'net, you won't use any extra battery.

You'll use more battery by disconnecting, because you'll have to reconnect (which is costly batttery wise).

If the data arrows are grayed out, there's no data being used, and thus no battery.

Just leave it connected, it won't hurt the battery.

Yes. Your ability to receive/make calls and send/receive SMS is not dependent on a data connection
