I pull up my memory settings in my Treo Pro, why is Storage memory different than Program memory? My Storage memory shows 105MB, In Use 89MB, Free 16MB. Program memory shows 101MB, In Use 36MB, Free 64MB. My understanding is that the phone has 128MB, about 23MB of it is ROM, the rest of it is user accessible and changeable, why would Program memory be any different than Storage memory?

Storage memory is like your hard drive (ROM) and the program memory is like your RAM. Like you said, some storage memory is occupied by the OS, etc. The program gets filled when you open programs and is also used up by background processes. Let me know if that answers your question.

yea, I figured it out. Storage memory is what I have installed on my own like programs, databases, pictures, music, etc. Program memory is for what the processor is running at the moment.
