    So I did the reg hack that makes the ringer louder didn't do anything for me, so I changed it back, but now the dial pad is obnoxiously loud. Can anyone tell me how to fix this without a hard reset? Its louder than the actual ring what are the odds

    Every time I do a hard reset I get the loud dial pad. You can just turn the device volume down a click. Press down on the right side of the device. Not the phone volume.

    But this lowers the ringer volume for text messages. On WM 5.0 phones there is an option to silence these sounds. It's in phone settings under dialpad in the drop menu where the Treo 800w has only short tones and long tones. Too bad someone can't come up with a hack or cab to give us that option too.

    There is a registry hack to do this. Dont know it off hand but search the tweaks thread. My keypad is silenced but still works for inputting dtmf tones for voicemail etc.

    RealVGA (my version here on TC, not the one on XDA Devs) currently does not have DTMF tones enabled...

    I did what triplecore did, which makes the dialpad tones quieter. I am wondering if there's any way to suppress the tones completely?

    Alternative (and I think final) solution:

    Edit Treo Pro registry at:

    [Mobile Device\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Feedback]

    InitVol=2

    change to 0

    Internally DTMF will still work, but it will not sound out of the speaker.

    Best Registy Editor is included in Pocket Controller Pro. You can manipulte device registry from your desktop.
