    Got em!

I won't be able to upload until tommorow, when I'm back at office.
Which one should I upload to RapidShare first?

Part03 has your file system on it (as in what you can install to). I wouldn't post that. (Probably nothing can be done with it...but...)

Part01 is the XIP. I'll download that and see if it extracts easily (the 800w's does NOT). Part02 is what most people mean when they say "ROM". In reality your ROM is Part01 (XIP) and Part02 (file system built into the ROM).

    Thanks for sharing!

I've built Custom Roms with ImagefsTools by mamaich using .nbh.
But never dumped from a device and then rebuilt.
hmm.. I guess I will have to play around with this one.

Considering I've posted links to full blown ROMs (those are just dumps) I wouldn't worry about it.

But I already got the linkies....

Be careful with rebuilds. It may *LOOK* okay, but not be. Real easy to brick your device that way.

Did you ever get a chance to try and extract the XIP?

I haven't messed with the Pro's XIP. Haven't really had a reason to yet.
  15.    #15
Can you point me in a direction for extracting the XIP from Part01.raw?

    Xda.

    Thanks!

Can I find that on the World Wide Web?

I'm quite certain the "Xda" Ebag333 was referring to is somewhere on http://forum.xda-developers.com .

Perhaps these threads might hide the answer to your question about XIP part01.raw ...
    * WM6.1 Rom for Treo 700wx - Finally!
    * Treo 700wx starts to get "custom ROM" treatment!

Yes, I meant XDA Developers, was at work and didn't have time to go in more depth.

Ripping XIP isn't pretty and is difficult.

There are quite a few different tools that can be used to RIP XIP, none of them well documented, and none particularly easy to use. Unfortunately the TP is an HTC ROM, so virtually nothing I've learned for the 700wx/800w ROM's really applies.

Fortunately, XDA focuses mostly on HTC devices, so some of the tools over there may work better for the TP than the 700wx or 800w.

Yea, I knew where he meant - I was because he was so specific.

I've done a lot of work with Htc Hermes, and not just with pre-built kitchens.
Many over at xda know me. I'm no master cook, but I do know my way around the tools available.
    (particularly Mamaich's imgfs tools)
I just haven't dumped from device and reconstructed before.

    Update with Pro:
So far I have dumped and packaged to OEM & SYS
    (that was the easy part)

This is where I am with the XIP:

Things would be a whole lot easier if Palm would release an Official Update.
