I guess if it were made a 'sticky' with a different subject heading, it might encourage all Pro owners to log their details? just a thought.....
Put it on the WMExperts front page today.

This still may be just an isolated production issue, but hopefully this will grab some more attention.

I voted not sure because I see "lines" where the other users posted pictures of cracks but mine are not cracks but appear to be more like folds in the plastic at this time...probably means I will have cracks.

Good job on this matter getting some real attention and being put on that site!!! I am praying that this is a batch issue since I love my Palm TP so much and have had a line of Treos now... 600, 650, 680, etc. I guess I am a "fan" of theirs and plan to buy the newest product from them every year or more. However, these early results have me very concerned.
P.S.- I still have not taken my replacement phone out of the packaging yet.... maybe omorrow or Sat? I am still having "mental issues" with that . LOL.

RAReed0219 and Skirmish, it would be appreciated if you would post your Pro's details* on the 'Cracked Treo Pro List' thread http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=173784. We hope a pattern may emerge if we get enough data.

*Serial number, date of acquisition, country, number of cracks and whether ever dropped.

Put me down with a craked treo:

    - Got it on release day
    - Have been ucarrying the phone using side belt cases: Tumi and now BodyGlove
    - Crack directly under volume button. I rarely change the volume in the phone BTW, so I may have used this button 15% of the total time I've had my unit with me.
    - Crack on the battery cover, lower left corner (about 10mm from the bottom edge). I have opened the battery cover about three-four times only
    - Serial number ends with 8H00C
Ode to the Treo Pro: you had to look so good, you had to be HTC in disguise...

    Thanks,
But we need a little more of your S/N

for example; 09N8H seem to be more apt to crack, and the two people who posted 9C8H don't.

I don't think there should be a problem posting you whole S/N, would there be?

    Thanks for your help.

I posted the last digits as I thought those where the changing ones. But for completeness, my digits are P4GU0 9M8H 00C. Still a mistery...

As well as your S/N, palandri, can you confirm your country of location?
