Any way to add FM radio to the 800w like you can on the Sprint Diamond?

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you can stream radio (including most of my local stations, YMMV) from this site:

I don't believe that the 800w (or Pro for that matter) has an FM radio antenna. There's nothing to indicate it does.

Thanks, but I'm looking to avoid streaming because of the large impact that it has on battery life.

I honestly don't listen to the radio that much, but it's great for things like a morning train commute when you want tunes but don't want to hose your 800w for the entire day because you drained half the battery streaming music.

If you don't use your sync cable for anything, (I sync via BT) you could plug it into your work computer and charge it back up at the office.

I listen to the 800 through a FM transmitter on the way to work (35 minutes). When I get there, it's down to ~70-75%. Then I just plug it into the sync cable and it's back up in roughly 30 minutes.

I also have a second battery for running. I use GPS TODAY to track the run and listen to the music through a Jabra bt-3030. Its a dedicated battery, so I have a full battery for the rest of the day.

Enjoy the treo, and work around the battery issues.

You must be joking. Powering an FM receiver is nothing compared to maintaining a constant internet connection and streaming music. LOL

someone correct me if im wrng but the fm receiver is built in on the headset and not the phone correct? so theoretically since both run wm6.1 yes the treo "might" do fm radio the kicker is this tho the fm headset wasn't released for the phone ne one know where to get it from?

Diamond has the tuner on an IC, treo would have to use USB unless you are really good a soldering.

It's been said many times, of course, but a second battery is a simple, cheap solution. Also, you wouldn't have to worry about losing an FM signal during a train ride, as long as you have a data connection.

Dang. Sounds like the 800w can never do FM radio then. It's a really nice feature on the Diamond.
