Since some have mentioned they prefer to use other handheld devices instead of the Treo 800w for certain things the Treo 800w does. I just wanted to poll how many of us use the Treo 800w exclusively or are using other handheld devices for things the Treo 800w also does.

Just wondering to what degree the Treo 800w is a full convergence device for us.

Since getting into the PDA World a few years ago and how new features have evolved I started to sell off toys (MP3 Player, GPS, etc.). I only carry one device and use it for everything. That is how I voted.

I have a Treo Pro. But, I use a iPod Touch for all podcast, music and media. It just splits everything up very fast.

I have bought pockettunes and kinoma player for the the Treo Pro. But, I can't get them to setup my playlists in a reasonable amount of time.

Back in about 1995 I was helping a friend of mine project manage so he could go on a vacation.
He handed me his Palm Pilot and a Cell phone.
I said, why do you have to carry 2 devices? Someone should make a PDA Phone.
My first was a Kyocera, can't remember what model. Loved the concept.

I have a Mogul for work but I find that I only use the phone portion of it now and use my Treo for everything else. I just like the feel and flow of the Treo.

Without he simple ability to connect a decent headset to the phone, playing music, for me, must reside elsewhere for now.

I use just one device. Reading books on it on a plane while listening to music AT THE SAME TIME, with ONE device just can't be beat.

My family thinks I'm a little weird that I read books on my Treo but why lug around books and GPS units and iPods and all that? One device to rule them all.

Off for a mountain bike ride now, with my 800w and my stereo BT headset. Let's see - which of my 16Gb of music shall I listen to....hmm.....

I sold my other devices on Gazelle and just carry the Treo. However, I still use my Ibiza Rhapsody player for music since I can access my RTG account using it's built-in wifi and it works great in the car too. I do have Kinoma on my Treo and will use that for streaming radio stations when I get boredof my library.

Several years ago, I used an iPaq H55550 PPC as a contact and appointment manager. I als set it up so I can call any of my contacts on the H5555 to my Motorla Razr via BT. It wa cumbersome since I had 2 carry 2 devices, with the H5555 being bulky. I would also forget to charge the H5555 at times. Things were allot easier after getting the 700wx.

I purchased a BT GPS receiver to use with the 700wx. I used it on occassions. It was a but cumbersome having to turn on the GPS receiver, then waiting it to pair with the 700wx, then starting my GPS app. Of course, things got easier after getting the 800w.

I prefer being old school and listening to the analog radio in the car when I travel. But I sometimes use Kinoma when I'm in the mood.

One thing I hardly use is my laptop, since I do majoroty of my emailing and browsing on my 800w.

I voted that I use another one for music, but I don't really... My mp3 player now lives solely in my car. The lack of a 3.5 jack on my treo and me not sporting for the t505 keeps it from being replaced completely. On the move, my treo covers everything...

I use my treo for everything business. When i am at home I tend to web browse and listen to music through my itouch. Most of the time though my itouch is used as a remote control for apple tv which is waaaay cool.

If you have a 3.5mm jack in your car, you don't even want to think about getting the Moto T505. You would want to consider getting the Jabra BT3030. Nevermind considering the Moto T505 that outputs an FM signal, when you can keep the highest quality audio .

Agree 100% thanks to lack of a 3.5 mm Stereo audio adaptor, cannot use the Treo 800 for music or for any other media for that matter.

    Thanks Palm and Seidio...

    Wouldn't a headphone adapter work?

The only problem for me using the 800w as my only device is battery life. I have to make sure I charge it whenever I have the chance. Other than that it works pretty well, although I do miss my iPod.

    And what's a soft key again ?

(berdinkerdickle knows the Treo 800w issues already. He also knows the issues with the Treo Pro .)
