On my 750, I could just open messaging and the screen would come up for a new message. I have 2 questions about this:

    1. Is it possible to separate the SMS/MMS from E-Mail?

    2. Is it possible to open up the SMS/MMS application at the "new message" screen directly w/o going into menu>new message etc.?

    Hope that made sense.

    Thanks for your help.

Your 750 used Palms own threaded message app.
I'm not sure if there's a way to have the one on the Pro open right to a ready to compose screen.
I know Palms Sms app is floating around, I had it on my 8525, worked great. If you're interested I can try and find it and post the link.

I just put it on my Pro, seems to work fine.

Do a Sprite Backup before you install, just in case.

Sorry, I have not tried it yet. I kind of like the 6.1 threaded SMS over the Palm SMS (didn't think I would ever say that).

I got side tracked by trying to make WeatherPanel look just right on my screen over the weekend and now I see that website is blocked from work .

Sorry I should have posted something before on this.

    That's good.
Then I would say don't bother with palms threaded app.
The more you can get used to vanilla the more stable the device.

That's a very good point. I have enough "Stuff" on it already and one of them was messing up my font, so I had to install & unstally a couple of the last application I put on it.
