Strangest thing, no possible explanation. All other notification sounds are working fine and loud. I have tried several different ring tones, but none works. When a call comes in, my 800w vibrates but doesn't ring. I reallllllly don't want to do a hard reset.

    Anyone have any clues?

Same thing just happened to me too but it's both known and unknown callers. I was just getting on to search the forum for any other postings related to it and a correction when I saw this post. I assume a search was done, there's no answer and hence this thread.

As far as I can tell this is the first time anyone has mentioned it. Mine may also be unknown callers too - just haven't had any of those. It's bizarre as he!!.

If a soft reset won't do then a hard one will. Just do a back up first. I hard reset all the time. I'm back up and running in less than 5 minutes.

It's happened to me... Soft reset usually does the trick.

    Soft didn't work.

    Hard didn't work.

Speaker still works. All sounds work as normal, just no ringer for calls.

Registry - InitVol value was 0. Changed it to 5 and a soft reset later, my ringer is now working.
