Because the back cover on the Pro is the whole back of the phone,
I just came up with a pretty neat idea:

OEM Rubberized Back Cover - Pro Version!

    Maybe price it between $10-$15
    What you guys Think?
    Would you buy it?

I would, it would allow me to keep the original back cover in a safe place, and make the pro easier to hold on to.

Here's as is - Now Just Rubberize it!

Make it easier to take off than the original, too!

With extended battery and better reset button access without removing!

Make it water proof too... I have lost two Treos due to water...

Does Seidio still have a bad CS rep?
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

Palm should have made the back rubberized in the first place!!!!

    Yeah, I'd pay $ 10-$20

I'm in too. I'd pay for a functional back. I also agree that a hole for quick and easy reset would be more convenient than the "practice makes perfect" approach we have to do now.

    Yes, IMO

Is there someone besides Seidio that could make it?

I've heard of spraycans with sort of liquid rubber you can use to do it yourself..

Had a look online and think this was the one...

That is a great idea! Did you send them a message about it?

Maybe it's just me but Seidio does not make the best products to go along with very poor customer service. I'd never buy another item from them. There has to be a company out there better suited for this. It would be a great idea though! So yes, I'd buy it, as long as Seidio does not make it.

I wonder if we can order an extra back cover.
That would be the only way I would attempt to do it myself.

One other useful thing (doesn't look very DIYable, and yes, it would hike the price, though it definitely looks worth it)...

Anyone else ever heard of the WildCharge mat? (You just set your device on the mat, no plugging in required, and it charges.) Well, I just saw a review by David Pogue of the New York Times.

However, in order to connect to the mat, the device needs either a sleeve/case or a replacement back with connectors compatible with the mat. So far, those are only out for the BlackBerry Pearl and Curve, and the RAZR.

With a little good engineering, someone could cover both bases here--easier to grip/remove and easier to charge.
