    Disable the Wireless today plugin
clock 26-Sep-2008 03:37 by author oVan

The Wireless today plugin that links to the Comm Manager on your Palm Treo Pro is provided by HTC. On most HTC devices you can disable and/or rearrange it, however on the Treo Pro it is not in the list of today plugins.

Using a registry editor (or Total Commander) you can go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Wireless". There you'll find a dword Enabled=1, set this to 0 to disable the Wireless plugin.

I pin the calendar to the start up menu so it opens to the monthly view. I've been doing this on all my WM devices. It's a must for me since I must be able to view my calendar quickly while in court.

Synchronize with Exchange (calendar, mail, contacts) from more than one PC. This also allows you to synch with multiple Exchange servers, though I have not tried that.

I have a desktop and laptop that both connect to the same Exchange server. I wanted to be able to synch all my data from either one. This works.

i think im going to just install one of those profile switchers and change profiles for when i need it to be completely silent.

has anyone figured out if its possible to make the top led or center button led light up when a new sms or missed call comes in?

other than the lack of volume icon on top, bluetooth call waiting issue (which is a big issue) and lack of led notifications i am loving this phone.

You can modify also the app calendar button, which is located here: Windows/AppButtons/Calendar.Ink

    :MSCALENDAR?outres.dll,-10002

    to -
    :MSPoutlook calendar -va -d0?outres.dll,-10002

upon request and or popularity. some of the ones that require text to be inputed like renaming softkeys really cant be done.

i went through this thread and a few of them didnt get any replies so i didnt think they were that popular.

if anyone wants to make requests i'll make em. just need to make sure the spelling is correct.

Fit more icons into your programs list (5 columns) with this..
    Add Registry Entries:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\
    Add New Key "IconConfig"

    In there Add DWORD Value:
    "HorizontalIconSpacing" Dec value="56"
    "VerticalIconSpacing" Dec value="87"
    "IconTitleFontSize" Dec value="6"
    always searching for the light..
