He probably thought (as I did at first) that it was referring to the Treo Pro, rather than the Touch.

Yes he did. I will say the Centro keyboard does very well. Since it does not come with a branded navigation program (Telenav) he loaded up a TomTom program. Oh, it does standalone GPS as advertised unlike the 800. Sweet phone, I wish it were CDMA.

Treo Pro. HTC Touch Pro is a CDMA device where as the Treo Pro is not. He is using a ATT SIM card. He did pay full boat for it but he's selling a few other devices to offset it.

yes sorry. I was thinking Treo Pro.

Touch pro looks good if it isn't really thick.

Thinner than the 800w and sporting a much larger battery, larger keyboard, incredible VGA screen and accelerometers.

Wow sign me up! 800w goes right onto ebay.

    It says:

    $579.99 regular price
    -$150.00 EVP discount
    -$130.00 Mail-In Rebate
    $299.99 ASU rate

I don't qualify for a discount through Sprint because I used my two year discount on the 800w. Would I still get this price?

I really like the Pro flush screen!

Hate the form factor. I would feel like I was 16 years old if I slid out a keyboard in a meeting.

I guess I have been using the Treo form factor for too long. Of all the Treo's I have owned the 800w has the best keyboard and best all around feel.

You know it. Talked with an HTC employee today and got to check out the Touch Pro. It's very slick. So much more professional looking than the toy 800w and its cheap blue plastic. The Touch Pro is all business and the VGA screen is sick!

I called sprint to ask about the Touch pro and they gave me it for free if I want it . Well not free but a swap . I am 4 weeks over my 30 days BUT they said they will let me return it and they will send me a Touch PRO . Now trying to decide what to do. I love the 800W BUT I really love the Touch Pro ( on paper) . And no I did not threaten to leave sprint or anything , they said the only reason they are doing it is because A I have been with them for more than 10 years. B . I paid full price for my Centro and $450 for my 800W and My plan was $150 a month. Think I will make the switch but stil not decided as I do love the 800W. I got 2 weeks to think about it. Was nice of them . I didnt have to sign a new contract, I didnt have any discounts etc.

I will play with the touch pro for a few days and then if I like it return the 800W. The pictures of the Touch Pro make it look big but the specs shows it smaller then the 800W and the same exact thinness and wieght. Guess pictures can be decieving. And the test pictures of the camera at 3.2 megapixels are amazing for a phone and the flash and TV out features are seriously nice.

Would love to see some comparison pictures of the 800W and Touch Pro next to each other but cant find any on the net.

Whoa so they just offered you the touch pro? wow...

My Treo has been messing up, freezing a lot. Having a lot of issues with it always having to take out the battery and then put it back. It's a pain. I want to call Sprint and see if they will swap it out for the Touch Pro or something but I doubt it. I got the Treo on release day
