    Sorry for the dumb question:

    1) 4G or 8G or even larger? not stable if larger?

    2) Where to buy? why amazon price is so cheaper than Bestbuy?

    thanks!

I bought an 8gb scan disk micro sd card with the adapter at best buy for $49.00.
Circuit city advertises it at that price, and best buy honored it. No prob so far...

btw, it seems even for the same size of Sandisk micro sd card, there are many types, I found M2 type is more expensive, why? Which type is more suitable?

sorry, what do you mean by "atm imho"? And class 6 seems better than 4, what about M2? still have no clue the meaning of these numbers, and hard to measure the performance on treo pro..

at the moment in my humble opinion

Class 6 is the fastest available card.
2 and 4 are significantly slower and the price difference is little, so best just to skip them and get only class 6 cards.

I paid 47 us shipped for the sandisk ultra card 8gb.

Be careful, since sandisk also has the slower (class 4) card.

Treo's and all winmo devices are slow as dirt compared to SDHC memory speeds. Buy what's cheap. I have a Adata brand 8Gb card from newegg.com for $30.

M2 is actually another name for Sony's Memory Stick Micro. It's just a smidge too wide to fit in a microSD slot. So don't get that for a Treo Pro.

If it's a Sandisk Ultra microSDHC, that's the newer, higher-speed one... I'd like to know if the Pro can handle the higher speed.

yeah, right, if pro cannot handel high speed like 6x, we shouldn't waste money

I bought the Sandisk 8gb Premier microSD, which was the fastest available here. On the sandisk website, they say it's the top-of-the-line card, but you'll have to digg deep to find them. Maybe they are for Europe only?

    About the speed classes
    Class 2: 2 MB/s minimum writing speed
    Class 4: 4 MB/s "
    Class 6: 6 MB/s "

It does not tell us anything about the maximum of course.
But especially when using the TP as media player, regular large transfer will occur. Then a little difference will make up minutes at the end...

Regarding the devices / readers: do not worry, the CARD is the weakest link - the devices in general work with any card.

oVan: sandisk UK does not list a Premier card, what does the number on the card say? 2, 4 or 6.
GMul: i bought from UK seller on eBay, incl shipping to Holland.

There's no class indication on the card itself, but the press release has this information: 10MB/sec Read & 9MB/sec Write speed
I'll post a link when I find more info...

Update: this is the part number to search for: SDSDQ2-8192 (8gb version) and SDSDQ2-4096 (4gb version)
