Does anyone remember the old activesync when you could choose to only sync certain categories from your calendar? Why did they take that functionality away?

Here is what I am trying to do. I sync my device with both my work computer and my home PC. At work I have tons of business meetings that I don't want to show up on my home calendar. I used to be able to mark calendar events as "Personal" or some other category and tell my activesync at home to only sync the "personal" category, not the business stuff. Is there a workaround or 3rd party app that will allow me to do this? Or am I just missing something in activesync? I can't believe that they would remove this ability. Thanks
