    I know very few of us have these yet but I am having an issue.
    Have taken a dozen videos on the PRo. They all play fine on the Pro but cannot be played on a desktop. I have tried everything. They are MP4 format, widows media player starts and then generates an error message.

    Are others having the same issue....any ideas? Thanks

    Try installing a up-to-date codec pack.
    I got one and can play every video without any problem.

    Here I got K-Lite.
    Treo Pro Playtime

    I'm having trouble playing videos taken on other devices on my Pro, mainly .mov files (which is Quicktime, I think).

    I thought I read someplace that the videos had to be played with Quicktime. I haven't tried it yet (too many other toys to play with ).

    What are you looking to play them in?

    If you haven't tried it yet, I'd suggest Kinoma Play--which does say it supports QuickTime.

    Actually, it doesn't get that far. Though ActiveSyc appears to add them to the device, it doesn't claim to 'convert' them. And they don't even appear as files if I look under 'Pictures and Videos'.

    ewhip: Try playing your Pro, .mp4 video in Quicktime or VLC media player.

    Biggles: Don't have my Pro yet (so I'm not 100% sure), but without some type of add-on player, you're most likely not going to be able to play .mov (Apple based) files. On my old 750 I used to just convert all my video to low bitrate .wmv's.

    So if you don't want to have several players on the Pro what is the best (or most comprehensive) codec pack (free) :-)
    HP200LX->Treo270->Treo600->Treo650->Treo680->Centro->iPhone3G->
    Treo680->TreoPro->iPhone3GS->PalmPre->HPPre2->HPVeer 2.2.3->HPPre3

    I ended up downloading Any Video Converter and convert them on my PC before loading to my Pro. V easy & quick.
