Anyone else with the Pro get Opera Mini to work? Mine freezes constantly and I am thinking about updating the java version on the phone. Anyone else get this to work yet?

EDIT: A newer version of Java installed has got it working, see post 4

Yeah I already have Opera Mobile as well, and this isn't a comparison thread. I'm going to try updaing esmertec and see if that helps me out

UPDATE: A newer version of Java is running perfectly, anyone who has a preference for Opera Mini can still use it. Here's the link for a newer version:

If you use the Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta direct from opera.com it will work great. No flash support though.

And other versions you will find on other forums won't work properly. i haven't found one yet, at least

I am using 9,5 beta on my TP.
    It's slow for me
    i dont love it..
I am so spoiled from using the Iphone 3G.
Geeesh once you use that Browser it is tough to use anything else.

Nothing comes close to Safari yet. Hate to say it, but its the truth.

I happen to like mini, pages load fast and it can handle most sites I visit.

Use Opera Mobile instead of Mini. Mobile 9.5beta working great for me. Not buggy at all on the Pro (maybe because the Pro is an HTC-type device that Opera did a lot of testing on?). It's the best browser available on WM right now (better than PIE/PIEplus, Skyfire, or Netfront). Good implementation of fullscreen model, and good finger scroll drag.

So opera 9.5 beta not worth to replace existing IE?

Anything is better than PIE... Get Opera 9.5... trust me. It is your best alternative at the moment.
