Has anyone tried this on the 800w? This little app just changes the SPRINT to what ever you want it to say. you can download it here

    3.1 was the last version.

FYI. it will survive a softreset, but you have to wait 60 seconds before you softreset if you just made a change. it takes a minute for the registy write.

someone let me know. i would like to re-write if it needs fixing. worked pretty good on other wm devices.

    Thanks, Cody

It works great, just as good as it did on the 700wx.

+1, been using it now for several weeks.....thanks alot for it. Given the issues with removal of the Sprint bar, this is a great option.

This wouldn't make a difference, if we were using Treo Alerts with the scrolling reminders right?

    right.

the main thing is to do SOMETHING with that wasted space. personalizer was just one idea.

    glad to hear it works.

altho, i was hoping it didn't. i sure miss writing these little apps. i was hoping i had something to do.

it's a cab file. you dont want to extract it first or anything. it may look like a zip file when you download it from your pc, but it's not. you really have two choices when using cab files.

    1. download the cab from your device and save it somewhere on your device. THEN go to that place and hit the cab file to run the install.

    2. download the cab file on your pc. reguardless if it looks like a zip file (zip file type icon) or not. move the cab file to you divice somewhere with activesync, and then from your device, find the cab file and run it to install.

    hope this helps, cody

On mine that area tells me if the phone is off or I have no service. This is easier to note than the icons. I find it very helpful as a reminder that I turned my phone off and forgot that I did.
