Sorry that I can't provide a picture but I am very happy with the battery. Although I know that it works beter after "provisioning", I'm sitting at 79% at a point where I would normally have to charge or replace the battery with the 110 mAh - same basic usage.

Furthermore, I actually like the feel of the bump - slim is good in some cases but most of the time I'll have the bump and be happy with it.

This product should take care of our battery issues - thanks Seidio!

The hump is not a distraction - it fits in the base of the palm, the index finger at the top of the hump.

First full day on the first charge, running all revivers/transmitters and heavy device usage: I have gotten about 14 hours out of the new 2600mah battery before it needed to be charged. I assume this will get better after a few days of charging and discharging as the battery begins to get conditioned. The hump is not bad although it is actually about 5-6mm thick rather than what Seidio states on their website (4-5mm). It actually feels better in the hand during long phone conversations or Internet surfing. You will notice a bit of weight increase. All in all, for someone who is on the road, in and out of meetings and needs heavy usage of the device, or maybe just a gadget guru who wants to play, this battery is more than worth the trade off in weight and the small extended hump.

I was able to get it to charge after some initial problems (see my p2 post), but now every so often, with the battery well charged, I'll get the low battery warning (shut down in 30 seconds). The battery icon on the top bar shows empty, and then after a few more seconds, the icon returns to normal.

I'll check with Seidio to see if they have any advice...

I had to move upstairs and took my 800w with the charger and extended battery (installed) with me. I noticed that when I unplugged the charger from the wall...the charging indicator did not turn off....took me about 15 seconds to get updatirs and the indicator still did not turn off....charging was at 90%. I rebooted and things cleared up. I did install the USB update from Palm. I will continue to charge up to 100% ..unplug it and see if the problem appears again. I did not have this problem with the original 1100 battery.

With the standard battery mine would routinely stay lit for up to 10 seconds.

Did the hump noticeably increase the pocket size feel?

I had that problem with an aftermarket adapter before Palm's USB update. Someone let me know that just turning off the screen and then back on would make the LED go out. It worked. I haven't had the problem at all since the update.

I use a case exclusively, too much trash in my pockets. I do not see how the size wold affect it; however, the weight would be noticeable.

Thanks bc, what I was getting at does it still feel like an 800w, or does it feel like a 700wx.

Can't wait to get mine. Palm has made a great phone with a lot of features but we have to turn them all off because of the battery.

So i got the 2600 today. installed and charged fully. feels good in my hand. it feels like a real phone now. i really hate phones that feel like your holding a hersheys candy bar. i like the feel of a sub sandwich in my hand.

well, i will report my feeling on this.
I cant remember what PDA's/PPC/Smartphone/Windows Mobile devices that i have had in the past. But simply put, i got the Palm M100 many years ago and was hooked. Since then, i have been upgrading in search for the latest and greatest device. and yes still searching
