I've had my 800w for about a month now and got around to trying to headphones today. They are so incredibly uncomfortable, the left piece would not even stay in my ear, and the spongey cover fell off during first use.

I WANT A 3.5mm HEADPHONE ADAPTER SOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!!!

oh yeah. volume was pretty sucky too.

Is a Bluetooth headset an option? Better quality sound, especially with the A2DP script that Hannip put out.

I already have a bluetooth and use it for calls/talk radio etc.... I just was thinking a stereo headset for music would be better but not with the factory set atleast. Wish I could use my garmin plug style headphones

I use the wired headset on occasion for music or audiobooks (mainly if I forget my bluetooth headset) and it works "ok" for that.

However, if I get a phone call from my wife it crackles so bad that I want to throw it out the window. And that is with the volume set at one above the lowest level. The lowest level seems to shut the volume off completely. I had my phone replaced today due to a stuck pixel on the screen and they gave me the box with an extra headset, charger and sync cable. I tried the new headset and had the same results. Crackling like you wouldn't believe. At least I have an extra headset to cut up now.

Are you getting the crackling from the Palm wired headset or the BT headset. I used my Motorola s9 & also Jabra BT3030 with music and phone calls and I've never experienced any crackling.

I only get the crackling using the Palm wired headset.

I use an S9 and the jabra dog tag and they sound fine. I always leave the wired set in the car in case I forget the bluetooth headset, but I hate using it.

You can. Get the Jabra BT3030. Sounds awesome, use any 3.5mm headphones with the BT pendant.
