I had this program on my Palm OS devices and it worked well. I see in the latest TreoCentral Software roundup there is a DocsToGo for WM. Has anyone tried this? Is there some advantage of DocsToGo over the included Office Mobile apps?

    Thanks.

With such small screens, I seriously doubt if most people use the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint features on their 800. I sometimes look over something, but never do any serious work on the device....

Sure there are some though... be interesting to hear some replies...

I did love documents to go on my TX... it had more features than Microsofts bundle when I switched over. Seems DTG for WM has some great features that MS does not offer. Worth the extra money? Not for me, but might be for some.....

I do a lot of lengthy writing on my 800w. In fact, writing on the go was the whole reason I got into mobile tech in the first place.

I was using Office Mobile, but I just installed DTG and I'm really impressed.

Can you elaborate? What are the differences? What makes DTG better / worth the extra money?

    First impressions so far:

    Much faster than OM.

Supports features OM doesn't, like page breaks.

Preserves all formatting, even what it doesn't support.

    Great PDF support.

    Scales nicely with RealVGA.

Full screen mode for when I'm using my Bluetooth keyboard.

I purchased DTG only because of the spread sheet function and most of the time I love it and it even has a functioning NUMLOCKs function. However, it has a serious short coming when doing formulas, especially those that involve the simple aspects of life, like multiplication, division, et cetera. In addition, the formula line is not entirely displayed. I would like to see it doing cell selecting a little differently. What I do now is when I need to create a formula, I use the Excel application; when using an existing application without modification, I use DTG. it is faster also.

Also, the MS application allows you to customize the zoom level; DTG does not - you are stuck with their defined zoom levels.
