Makes out Treos 800's look like a piece of discarded garabage! Where is Palm's Insight. they should have released this as the 850W for CDMA

Palm's design may show Jon R presence now, it did not with the 800W

Nice of the photographer to remove the fingerprints with that microfiber cloth!

BTW, those are some very large scratches on that screen...

That's what screen protectors are for.

I've never used one, and never had a problem. But then again, I've never owned a device with a flush screen.

I somehow never realized the app keys were not real buttons.

I can also see the downsides of a flush screen.

I don't like some of the subtle differences. It's definitely starting to look like an Apple product, gimmicky looks before functionality, but that appeals to the masses.

I still don't like that they fit a bigger battery and headset jack into a smaller factor than the 800w and no one told the CDMA team.

I think the hardware keys are like the centro - they do depress. I don't see how this new design sacrifices anything in functionality. Treo form factor but with more programmable buttons, good keyboard, better flush screen, better hardware specs, etc.

Also, you can see that the person is using a screen protector on the phone.

850 = Great looking screen , sharp look , Better Battery , headset jack and a real metal Stylist by the looks of a couple pics ive seen...........
Its kind of like 800Ws were put together with 850 left overs lol

Props to Palm..The 850 will keep them in business.

thats a pretty sexy looking phone!
What can I say? A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
    Nokia 3360 -> Sony Ericsson t226 -> Sony Ericsson z500 -> Treo 600 -> Treo 680 -> AT&T Centro

A flush screen is not as bad as you may think. I have a Htc Touch which I've used for about 6 months without ever putting a screen protector on and my screen is just fine.

I think that just means that the data bus is 32 bits. I could be wrong but from the picture it looks like a typical Htc device information screen.

That is a NICE looking phone! Makes me glad I returned the 800w within 30 days - would have felt scr**ed if I had kept it. This is the phone Sprint should have released (CDMA version, of course).

This phone could have competed with the upcoming Touch phones.

from the information on the label, I think they will introduce the new TREO PRO in 1-2 months. ( and it's seems only only one model for GSM network...)

When was the last time you heard the word sexy and Palm in the same post?

    Nice job and well done.

I for one can not wait to get my hands on this little baby.

How do the soft keys work?

Is the area depressable? Are they on screen only (I hope not)?

Is it me because I can not see them?

It's weird, on the original leaked pick they had some white dots to identify them. On these new ones, nothing.

That's the big question: are they touch sensitive or depressible. AFAIKAFAIKAFAIK, $we$ don't know, lol.
