    Hey guys,

I know that you can turn the voice on or off in the preferences. However, there are times that I need to turn the voice off while driving (I have it going over bluetooth to my T505 car kit while my music is playing). The voice doesn't drown out my music which is good, but sometimes I just want to mute the lady, and there isn't a toggle that I can see to turn the voice on and off. You have to end your nav session, go to preferences, turn it off, and go back to your nav session, starting it all over.

Am I missing a quick way to toggle the volume? Please don't say the vibrate switch; my sound is going over bluetooth as mentioned above so that's irrelevant. Thanks in advance.

I was looking for the same thing (I tend to listen to audiobooks while I drive, so the BT lady obscures what my book is saying). Unfortunately, it appears that the only way is to preset audio on or off prior to starting your nav session.

Sorry I didn't respond; I've been doing computer upgrades.

Thanks for replying; that's a shame, and I hope they come out with a software update to address this!

You need to install a prog to open the audio gateway to your headset.

There are several free choices. Some like this.

    I've been using this.

The first one has a cab installer so it's easy to install. When you run it you have to confirm a prompt to turn it on.

The latter one doesn't have a cab installer. It's 3 progs that you just copy to your treo. There is one that toggles the audio to bluetooth, one that turns it on and one that turns if off. There are no prompts to get through so makes it nicer if you want to assign to a button. You need to copy to or make shortcuts of the progs to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs for them to show up to assign to a button.

Note: Both options require Palm's Voice Dialing over Bluetooth patch to be installed.

I gave this one a try and it worked fine when turned on, but when I turned it off, I couldn't get any sound out of my speaker. Anyone else using this successfully or having a similar problem?

Ok, I installed it and it is much better than what I had before, but is there a way to adjust the volume? It is kinda low when listening to music and Sprint Navigation. Better than before, but I would like just a little more. Is there a registry tweek for this?
