I've seen and tried many battery programs. Some give very detailed info, such as detailed percentage (31%, 54.5%, etc.), but the default one is fine with me. It does not make a difference with me whether charge my device at 35% or 35.3%. Plus some of the battery programs take up too much screen space, which is not useful with a square screen. Though the WMMiniBattery looks more promising.

Battery status is different compared to other battery type of programs. It is like rltoday. A swiss army knife of program. It does the expected meters. But it can do provide a clock, other plugins, custom skins, weather, etc. I started looking at it last week and so far I am impressed.

I am working on a skin for my 800w and it is a work in progress. I am looking at skins other people have done and using elements that I like in a layout for my treo.

I have it in a pocketbreeze tab but it should work in UL also.

edit: I should tell you that everything with the exception of the carrier bar is batterystatus.

edit 2: look at this fourm for information http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350510

homescreen ++ is the new name being used. I am currently playing with it, along wth: UL, WP, today agenda and yes it works fine. As far as skins, xda forum 132 pages long has several that will work with the 800 square. Most wont fit right and the xml needs to be reworked. Lots of help on that site. Great ideas and contributions.

cpu speed, vmail, sms, missed calls working fine. But if using the call timers in varous skins, the outgoing sm total does not. Incoming sms works great.

wktask does the mini bar at the top of the screen, I really like that approach, plus wktask is free, and a hell of a task manager. It adds a taskbar on to your start bar, just like the real windows has. You see what programs are open and you can jump around.

    ericizzy1,

My post count isnt high enough to add links or attach files. Sorry. Google chi-tai, the developer. Go to the site, thats where I got my version, 1.06.347.rc2. Install the cab to device, as if you didnt already know. As far as themes, look for the BSVista to start with. You may find it on the developers site, awhile back there were some posted there. If not, xda fourm.

    edit - google chi-tai batterystatus
