I was just thinking how useful it would be to be able to record phone call conversations. I have not heard of any free applications that do this. Anyone know of any or could possibly create one?

None apparently work for this phone. I'd pay good money for one though....I take statements all the time and would love to do it from my cell phone.

Not free, but the only phone call recorder for WM that I've found thus far.

Will this work for a normal conversation, through the mic, or does it have to be speakerphone? What would be REALLY cool is if it worked through bluetooth...I'll check this out though.

Edit: Don't think so, think its a hardware limitation on the Treo800, from the site:

    Automated phone call recording

    >Automated phone call recording"Record and organize every incoming or outgoing call."

Program startup and recording of whole phone call. Store to a special subfolder and name the recorded file with caller/callee's name.

(Both sides recording is hardware dependent. If your recording contains voice of one side only, it is not due to the program's failure.)

This does both sides of the conversation? Through the mic or speakerphone? Thanks.

This works for you for recording CALLS or conversations? It does not work for me for calls (didn't try speakerphone). Nor does any other recording app.

When on a call, it appears that the Treo's mic is disconnected from the OS altogether. I hear silence in my recording during the call, but I do hear the ambient noise I recorded AFTER the point I hung up.

I could not get it to work from the card or main memory.

Unless you haven't updated your sig, I think I see the problem....I have heard POS devices can do this, but not the WM Treos

My bad. It works fine on the 700p but will not work on the 800w. Must be a Windows Mobile limitation?

I'm going to try to get the Palm version working running StyleTap
