Can someone walk me through how to get HTCHome on the 800w. I've followed a couple links on this website which take me to other sites that have the information scattered or just outdated information. I've gotten through installing it about 7 times now and everytime I have to end with a hard reset. I was trying to get it working with hidelogo but after that sending my phone into a reboot loop, I went to just installing HTCHome. If someone who has done it can create a updated and working way of doing this I would extremely appreciate it!!!!!

Its true that there are a lot of versions of HTC Home laying everywhere. But, the only one that truely works without switching to RealVGA-96dpi is:

For the HTC Home plugin to work you need the VGA version
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351553

This one works perfectly on Treo 800w.

Same here, but I was able to add contacts and programs via the "+" buttons, but it does not look like the screenshots posted in that thread. One problem that I have found is clicking on the sms icon does not launch the messaging program.

My messaging program launches when i click the icon. I may uninstall this if i cannot customize it the way i like, by that i mean being able to download and change icons and themes

Me too. I've decided that I like simplicity more than a fancy looking today screen.

to get the HTC HOME to work you have to follow these steps

For the HTC Home plugin to work you need the VGA version
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351553

    MemMaid
    http://www.dinarsoft.com/memmaid/

    follow these instruction
    http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...light=htc+home

you have to MAKE SURE YOU "PIN" Active Call and Dial lookup!!!

    Edit this registry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\HTC Home
change Type from 5 to 4

WHEN YOU HAVE IT UP AND RUNNING...DO NOT MESS WITH THE ROTATE SCREEN LAUNCHER!!! it will mess up the 4 way directional pad and only a hard-reset fixes it!!! SO JUST DELETE THAT SHORTCUT ALL TOGETHER!

to remove the extra battery icon you need to edit the registry
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell]
    "ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:1

To modify the sprint carrier bar to show the SMS and email notification you need TREO Alert Beta

to get the SMS icon to work you need to perform this hack

    Pull the battery out
Hold the red phone button while placing the battery back In
Hold for a few seconds while the palm loader runs
