    All,

After searching mainly this site and others and didn't really feel very secure with tampering with my registry considering I didn't see a 100% feeling that I wouldn't either screw it up or "IT WOULDN'T WORK"! I decided to call Sprint and add the PAM. I had a little surprise. He told me that because I have the SRPINT PRO PACK, then I will only get charged $15 for the PAM. Has anyone heard this new news or have I been hibernating too long?

I recently passed off my MOGUL onto my sister-in-law and happily purchased the 800W. Love it! I liked the fact that the hack on the PAM function to the MOGUL was easier then what I was about to face with the 800W. So I decided to pay for it for a little while until I feel as though I wont have a problem with the hack on 800W. For $15 plus my 21% discount, I don't see it as being a temp fix, considering the fact I need something reliable as I begin my travel period this month.

The speed's were pretty good on SPEEDTEST.net
    1st was a +1400kbps / +400
after that they ranged in the 700-900 / 300-400's.

that is $360 plus tax (eg for a lot of us $400) over a two year period
for a function that can be done without the extra charge.

I deleted the regkey and connected via the internet sharing without a problem!

I hope that there are no charges, but I have not seen anything that says we will!

They've been doing the same thing with the Mogul and Touch and haven't seemed to have any problems.

I don't tether all that often so I don't think I'll have an issue. If I do, I still have a fully licensed copy of PDANet handy.

I just didnt want to be deleting things that are not for sure going to work. There was a little trick with the procedure as far as connecting with my MOGUL & didnt have to delete any reg keys either.

That's wholly understandable. I was sure to make a full backup before attempting the tweak.

I remember the last time I did one of these wonderful registry key edits from this forum... lol... I had other side issues. With pdanet I have no issues.

Yes... I've had many issues caused by regedits done from this site... LMAO. Backups are my friend... I mean... I've owned an 800w for a week and I've already hard reset it five times... I love it!!

But this was a very simple one and it caused no problems and it made ICS work flawlessly the little bit I tested it out.

Thanks for the info... yea, I already have pdanet so no need or the regedit... some might do it though... I remember when I first got my 700 I used to do every edit and software I could find... eventually I erased all of them to get a stable device. Others are better than I am at stuff like that.

To also be clear, I'd pay for the service (PAM) if I used it often... I use pdanet (at this point) maybe once or twice a month for a total of two to four hours per month.
