To be honest, I'm not sure. I've never used the Wifi program before. PDAnet I'm not sure of either. I used to use the regular Phone As Modem plan from Sprint, until recent. Now I'm looking for something to try.

Here is what I did and it has been working great. I installed the latest version of http://www.wmwifirouter.com/. When installing, it asked if I wanted to setup the network connection. I selected yes and allowed it to setup the connection. After it sets up the connection, you can uninstall the program. I then setup an ad-hoc connection on my desktop computer. You do need to have PDANet installed and follow the instructions to setup a WiFi connection with PDANet.

This setup has been working perfect. Last night I watched Slingbox on my laptop for about an hour and a half without any problems.

Maybe I'm a doofus, but I don't see what this program does - even after a quick check of their site.

It allows a wifi-enabled phone in a wifi setting to allow a wifi-enabled laptop to connect to the internet? Why wouldn't one just get online with the wifi-enabled laptop?
    * Stuck patches? Partial erase worked for me.
    * Stuck virtual keyboard? Partial erase AND folder deletion worked for me.

it becomes a wifi router while providing data through Sprint network.
let's say you are in woods (but still have Sprint phone reception) and have wifi laptop and your phone. Using your phone you make it look like a router to your laptop. Laptop connects to it and gets to access internet through your phone data plan. The advantage of this over PDANET is that it will let more then one laptop to use your data access at the same time.
