if anyone is interested in using the diamond theme to create other cool backgrounds. i was thinking about keeping the diamond theme, but maybe giving it a tint of some color.

also, if anyone is interested, i uploaded the color icon files - gives your icons color instead of black and white.

What version of Ultimate Launcher are you using. When I run it it just freezes my 800W. Tried it twice (Hot sync and restore from backup)

    yes that's the one.

the 2.1.1 beta on the support page does not work with realvga

the good thing about this is that it hides the sprint carrier line, the bad thing is that the fonts and icons are too small

Well, I gave it a shot. It didn't look as intended I don't think. I was thinking this was the center spinning cube or cascading windows looking thing like vista does. All I got was a simplistic page flipping look with over sized icons. I'm sure I did something wrong, but for now I've removed it all and went back to the stock look. I'll try again later.
<-Jumping ship on the Palm Pre and getting the HTC EVO...So far that's the 650, 800w, the Pro, Pre and soon the HTC EVO...

Using winzip or winrar, open the diamond.zip file on your computer, and extract its contents into the programs/spb mobile shell folder on your treo.

You can change the type of animations - at default, icons within subgroups will spin in and out like cubes. You can change the animation from calendar to now screen to weather, etc.... in the settings. I think the sliding animation looks great. To get a cascading effect like vista, from the today screen, put your finger/thumb on the 'start' tab in the upper right hand corner and drag down like an "L" and the other screens can be selected. Pressing the windows key on the treo will always bring you back to the now screen.

FYI, I've attached the background file which can be used as the today screen background, just to keep all the screens consistent. Also used the "lava" theme to change the bar colors to grey.

it's all in french though. and most of them are not in 320x320

Thanks alot Im loving this theme. I realy liked it on 240 x 240 theme on my 700wx. but I love it on the 800w 320 x 320. I also like the color Idea. A silver or blueish silver to go with the sprint Treo 800w would be nice. Thanks for all the Ideas and help everyone.

it sounds like you need to switch to 96dpi.
did you run realvga, switch to 96dpi? everything on your screen should look smaller.
