Ok.. got my 800W activated about 7 hours ago.. I'm experiencing a strange internet connectivity issue.

The EV icon at the status bar, when the arrows are faded I'm assuming it means power vision connection has been dropped..

When I try to browse to a URL or run an app that requires internet, the arrows becomes white but then I would get a pop up message that says connection to internet can not be found. If I re-try several times, it would eventually work.

    Anyone else experience this?

The greyed out arrows mean that it is connected, but not actively transmitting. When they are white, it is transmitting. What is your cell strength when you are dropping a connection?

    Okay update on the issue..

To be more specific: The error message in IE is "The Page cannot be found check the name and try again"

I'm now consistently getting this error when browsing to www.yahoo.com and www.cnn.com Both sites are confirmed to be up and running.

    My phone displays full bars.

I've done that.. and I've tried to have a sprint tech person refresh my power vision accnt.. still the same..

but their BS excuse is that they don't recommend 3rd party websites or apps because those could be down.. they had me test with a sprint site, which worked..

Try typing WSJ.com in your browser address, and let me know what happens.

I agree with robber above. If you change the DNS servers, it might fix it.

Okay right now the DNS server is set to server assigned. What DNS server should I use? I'm in the Chicago area...

Does this also mean that if I go out of state, I would need to change my DNS server again?

See the following post to change the DNS:

And no, you do not have to change it if you leave your home area.

So you are suggesting that others are having the same problems on phones other than 800w's?
