Tried online activation. Said it didn't recognize the hex or s/n. after entering the DEC, it said unable.

Interesting that the phone powers off, if you take the battery out.... I mean even if the charger is hooked up?

Same problem with activation for me. Just means you have to call.

I believe the welcome document reads if it is a phone for a NEW line, you can do that online.

But, if it a replacement phone for an existing line, you have to call..

I think they do this is because this phone requires a $25 data plan. They want you to call. We all have data plans anyway but their are customers coming from a dumbphone.

I went from a 700wx to the 800w on an existing line using the online activation. I was inside with a week signal so it dropped out a couple of times, but I finally got it to hang in long enough.
