    You could try itsutils....

Any chance you can post your default shellres.128.dll? I need to see the original TP one so I can compare it to the 96 one and see if there is something missing.

    (Heh...TP......)

Okay, so the TP shellres.128.dll DOES have a whole slew of icons that the shellres.96.dll does not have.

Hmm, now I need to track down an even newer .96.dll file.

I finally fixed the weird battery icon. And it wasn't the way someone else posted, hint hint.
Gotta love technology... you blink and everything changes.

Do you want to share your method? Or just be as obscure as you can?
  16. #136
I can share it.... no biggy about it. I just had surgery yesterday though, so give me a day or so to collect my thoughts.

    That would be much appreciated.

I haven't had much time to dig into it. My though on a new .DLL was purely my first guess. If you have a quicker/easier way, lets do that.

    @Ebag,
how would attempt to copy the batterIndicator.exe file to the palm pro if when I tried a message pops up that asks if I want to replace the existing file. When I choose yes, a dialog appears that states "BatteryIndicator could not be placed on the device. You do not have permission to create this item".
What if I also tried it via the palm with the same problem.

How would I overwrite files in Rom?
  19. #139
You can try using Total Commander. Sometimes it will let you overwrite files that you couldn't otherwise.

Your other option is to create a CAB of the files you want to install, and do it that way. WM will put them in place, and then soft reset so that you're using the new versions.

I use Pocket PC Installation Creator for creating CAB's, but it's not a very user friendly program (lots of weird errors, lots of work arounds, etc). There are a few paid programs out there that work better, but I can only pay out how much I get paid for all this--which is still exactly $0 and thanks.

Don't get me wrong, I very much appreciate the thanks (and that's really the only reason why I'm still doing this ), but it don't put software on the phone.

The reason I ask, is of all times I needed to overwrite files in Rom, all I had to do is a copy and paste with Resco Explorer. Infact, that's what I used to replace the BatteryIndicator.exe

For some reason it wouldn't work for NewTreoProUser27
Oh well, it looks like he found another solution.

It still doesn't help that he Ripped me Up & Down with SCREAMING speech.
