Coming off of my 700wx I never played with any of the hacks. My 800w is coming on Monday and I want to pick one up....

What's the best Stereo headset so far? I was looking at the Motorola S9

    Thanks!

The S9's are nice and are my favorite. They have good sound and decent bass. The main issue with them that others have reported is that if you plan to use them while exercising they will short out if you sweat a lot to the point where it gets inside the ear pieces.

I've only had it for one day, and haven't gotten my 800w yet, but the Jabra BT3030 is actually much better than I expected. I love the fact I can use my own headphones, and just tuck the "dog tag" away, or clip it to part of my shirt...

    Referring to the S9's...

And it is assumed that you are using them just for music. If you plan to talk with them, while they have a mic I can assure you it sucks.

I had one, my dog ate it. I kicked him. (Just kidding.)

They are great for BT stereo music, useless for conversations. So, it all depends on your needs.

I assume you are talking about the S9's? How are the Jabra's for talking?

Yes, just for music. It is the case for most bluetooth stereo headphones that they suck for talk. They are designed for music. However the Jabra BT8010's are dual purpose, but the sound is a bit compromised with those musicwise.

I have the Motorola S9's ($50 new off Craigslist ) and the Plantronics Pulsar 590A ($30 new off Craigslist ).

Honestly, I haven't used the Pulsar much with my phone ( I currently use my Mogul, haven't really tried them with my 700wx), but I mainly use the S9's when working out.

S9's - I think the earbuds suck. The regular round ones fit best for me, but they don't form a good seal with my ear like my Sony earbuds do and thus the sound leaks a little. The sound quality is ok to me. It's slightly muddy, but I think that's mostly because it's a wireless connection. Overall, I'm very satisfied with them, especially for only $50. They're great for working out and I haven't had an issue with the sweat killing them (knocks on wood). I used them to talk on the phone and they worked just great. Sound only comes out from the left side. The buttons on it are easy to use, and are great for when you want to quickly change the song, pause, or adjust the volume.

Plantronics 590A - These are a great set of general use headphones. My main complaint is that they look funny to wear around, especially with the microphone sticking out. The sound quality is better than the S9's IMO, but it still has that muddy sound. Overall, they're a great pair also. Haven't really tried talking on them, but I imagine it should work great with the boom microphone. The mic can also be adjusted to extend further. The buttons on it are a little harder to get used than those on the S9's, but they're not terrible at all.

If you have any more questions about either set of headphones, just ask.

The S9 will short out with sweat and moisture, eventually.

Someone please try these and report. They claim to be sweat-proof.

That's what I use and I love it.

Edit: Plus I bought it there 2 weeks ago for 69.99 so I'm driving down there and picking up my 20 bucks. Nice post!

After my S9s shorted out, I got the Jabra BT3030 and I love it. You wear it around your neck like a dog tag and use whatever 3.5mm headphones you want. The mic is in the dog tag and works pretty well. The controls are easy and clear, it charges miniUSB and has great battery life. Oh, yeah, it sounds amazing, too.
