I've been using it for about two weeks and to me it's plenty loud. I listen to intenet radio streams all day with it and couldn't be happier. It's lightweight and I barely know I'm wearing it.

I haven't had any real complaints about the call quality. It's still a BT headset and it's not great, but it gets the job done for those times when you have to use it.

I generally use my handset for calls unless I'm in the car.

OK.... Voice Command through BT works... You hear the commands through the BT, and it works pretty good too.....

******I have to retract the above statement, I misunderstood what everyone was talking about, so far, I have only been able to get it to work with me pressing the side button on the phone and speaking the command. All prompts after that are heard through the ear piece, which I think is because the ear piece has A2DP.. I will keep playing with it and see...*******

So far my old timer Plantronics 590 works and sounds great. I haven't tried the A2DP just yet, but it works great for phone calls. Much quicker connect and more reliable connect than my 755P.

has anyone experienced better volume through their BT headset than they had with the 700wx?

BigChris - how's the volume on that 8040 on the 800? I am finding it to be quieter than the JX10 on my 700wx.

yes using the ones that came with, ran out of my old-style jabra gels.

I think I'll stick with the 8040 and hope for the best when I get the new phone. Thanks for the feedback.

Had a $10.00 coupon from being a Rewards member. So it dropped the price to $43.00 out the door. A very good deal...

Yes, and I really like the fact I can use the 800w's charging cables to charge it. One less thing to carry on the road.

Great find, overbyc1! Despite the misleading title to that KB item, it even shows a modification date of Friday July 11, 2008, which reinforces the 800w-relevant tag at the bottom.

I know it's not supported on the 700wx, because the 700wx doesn't support A2DP. But with the A2DP Hannip update and the later firmware update, it was working for me perfectly using an A2DP supported headset (Motorola S9). Although I never used it, I could speak using the headset's mic. It was hard touching that little button on the S9, which is the reason why I never used it.

I would have to think the 800w would support it. When I get my 800w and report my findings.
