I'm sure at some point this will happen.... but how long do you think before the 700wx reaches it's "true" EOL and sprint starts replacing them with 800w's?

Considering that many people are still getting 650's and 700p's swapped out with identical refurbished devices....a looooong time (1.5 years or so) would be my guess. Now, I have heard of some people successfully being able to "trade down but up" from a 700p or a 755p to a Centro, which is to be expected as it's cheaper device.

But the 800w is a clear improvement over the 700w/wx in every way so I'd imagine the 700wx to stick around for a very long time. It's been in production so long that they probably have warehouses full of 'em.

Too long for sure. Besides, scamming sprint is bad. People like you are what kicks insurance rates up for everyone. Pay the money for a quality device and stop being cheap. Should you break a phone and get an upgrade thats nice but you won't get the 800 anytime soon... sprints got mounds of 700ws and is tight on compliance... especially when a new model comes out.

Your only shot would be if you were lucky and caught them when they were temporarily out of stock with your claim. I went from a 6600 to a 6700 this way a couple of years back. Otherwise 1.5 years seems about right.
