I'm getting my 800w tomorrow and will almost certainly need the following extra accessories:
    - batteries
    - car charger
    - travel charger

Are these items made for other phones compatible with the 800w? If so which ones?

    Thanks

The connector is a Micro-USB, so micro accessories should work. As for the battery, it is the same size as the Centro battery but Malatesta (I think) said earlier the contacts are in a different place....

Thanks - does that mean that all micro USB accessories are compatible with each other?

Well, no. It means the plugs all fit.

I wouldn't just go throwing my phone on any old micro-USB charger without checking to see if the current and voltage output are right. Any non-powered accessory, though, you should be safe plugging in and seeing if the 800w recognizes it and it works properly.

can't answer that'un off the top of my head. You'd have to compare the specs of that charger with the 800w charger. I'd guess those would be in the user's manual that was put up on the WMExperts front page awhile back.

No, the Mogul is miniUSB and the 800w is microUSB, not compatible from a physical standpoint.

There are mini to micro adapters. Treo Central has one listed under 800w accessories.

Has anyone bought a car charger for their 800w yet? If so what did you get and have you used it? The motorola one looks nice, but not sure how to tell if it's compatible or not other than it having a micro usb plug.

I got one from Sprint yesterday, but I throw away the package, its a Micro USB car charger. Damn, I can't remember which model # it was. I'll see if I can find the receipt. It works with no problem.
Remember, this is my opinion ! We all have a right to our own.....

    Treo's 650-800..NOW,

You could always get a microUSB to USB cable and a wall and car charger with USB input. Seidio sells the chargers and you can probably find the cable on eBay.

there are scores devices on the market that use micro usb charging. they are typically a couple of bucks.
also usb a male to micro male cables are about $5 and they will work great whenever a usb outlet is around.

I picked up the Motorola OEM one on ebay for about $9 last week in anticipation of the 800. With the battery life I'm getting, I have already had to use it a lot!
    Works good.

I also picked up some Motorola OEM stereo earbuds with Mic. for about $5 on ebay with the intention of modifying them with different buds. No go. The pinout on the micro usb must be different. It may be fixable by just swapping a conductor in the mic. box though. I'll post back if I have any success. Oh ya, the reason I didn't want to modify the ones it came with is because I'm considering trying another one due to the battery life that I'm getting. If the 2nd one isn't any better, I may just have to return it all together.

I've used the Mobi Products DuoCharger for S&C Cables for my Treo 700wx along with Smartphone Experts S&C Tips for Treo 700wx. I use them to charge my 700wx, my Motorola S9 BT headset, my OnCourse Bluetooth GPS Receiver Edition 3, as well as my mom's Motorola Razr. All devices had no issues. I would assume that an 800w would have no issues as well. I would be gladly verify that once I receive my 800w.

Not yet, but someone needs to.

    I just ordered this: http://www.thecellguru.com/Products/7708

And while I have no experience with or relationship to the site, I have had those Rugged brand chargers before, and have to say the quality has been great. Pretty cheap, too. Price wise I mean.

    Accroding to Sprint.com - http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASAp...yRefName=Power

    The car and travel chargers are compatible with KATANA® LX by Sanyo®, LX400 by LG®, MOTORAZR˛ V9m by Motorola, PRO-200 by Sanyo®, PRO-700 by Sanyo®, Palm® Treo™ 800w, Z400 by Samsung®

So according to that, you can use any of those device chargers with your Treo and should work fine.

Found sync cables for the Razor v2 v9m for $3.69 http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-RAZR2...bosnation0e-20

    Car charger for $4.95 http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-RAZR2...bosnation0e-20

Going to do more digging, but thought this would be a good start.
