Just curious if Palm up the ante on the battery capacity....Since the Palm Centro uses a 1150 mAh battery, I don't see how a Treo 800W with WiFi, GPS, Rev A would survive unless the battery capacity was increased!

Malatesta confirms it to be the same capacity of 1150mAh (side note it differs by its connector).

I agree with you..my Treo 650 was rated 5hrs talk time and 300hr standby, let's see what the 800w is rated at.

Talk time should be very similar to the Centro and so should standby. Both will decrease dramatically if you're using BT, GPS + WiFi.

New rumors are circulating that due to Beta test feedback, Palm will be shipping both a standard battery AND an extended battery in final production units. See post numbers 44 & following in this thread:

An 1150mAh battery cannot power a phone, EVDO RevA, GPS, WiFi and a 320x320 screen for too long. If this rumor is true, however, I think the 800w is still at least a week away unless they package the extended battery separately.
