    Hi Guys,

My Palm Treo 750 runs on Windows Mobile 6.0. I've configured my organization's mail (POP3/SMTP) on it and it works fine. But the mails are stored in the phone memory instead of card memory.

There is an option to store the attachments on card memory, but no option to store all mails on card. Since phone memory is very less (about 60 MB), this limits the no. of mails I can have at the phone, and forces me to clean-up mails very regularly.

Is there any way I can configure my phone to store mails on card memory?

    Cheers

No. But there's really no need to. Email is predominantly text. If your attachments are on the card (and even then only if you download them), the email itself takes very little space. To fill up 60 MB, you're talking about 100's of emails.

Unless you tell it otherwise, the Treo is only going to stay synced with your inbox anyway, and not store what you have in the other folders. Also, it typically only keeps copies of the past few days worth of inbox emails.

I get tons of email daily (synced with exchange) and have never noticed a memory problem.

Hi, yes I ran into the same issue with this as I like to have all of my emails available on my phone and was running into memory issues.

I'm sure you can modify the registry directly, but I'm happier using SKTools that lets you specify a location for the "Messages" folder which contains both the emails and attachments. It also let's you move the Pocket Internet Explorer (PIE) storage location. I have no affiliation with SKTools, but it's worked well for me.

    I stand corrected. Thanks Sansil.
