I recently bought a new WM6 Treo 750 and require the largest capacity Mini SD Card for the Treo 750.

Palm Australia say on thier site http://www.palm.com/au/products/smar...specs.htmlthat it is UP TO 4GB, but I have also seen in other places that it is 2GB.

Has anyone installed a 4GB, if so did it work OK?

How about brands will ANY brand of Mini SD Card work or does it have to be 'Palm' branded.

    Thanks for any help.

I have heard of people using 8GB and bigger. You can also buy a bigger card and partition it into different drives. I haven't done this yet but there are some good tutorials on the web on how to do it, but here is a good one http://www.pocketpc-live.com/pocket-...-sd-cards.html

WM6 now supports SDHC in addition to the old SD cards. While palm lists 4GB, I've seen several people post that they are using 8GB SDHC cards with no issues.

Most seem to have good success with the SanDisk cards. I wouldn't bother with the super cheap no-name cards as they can be problematic.

It seems like I remember someone posting they were using a 16GB card, but I'm not positive on that.

I had a look at the site you mention however it only mentions WM5 so the WM6 may handle it better.

I think I need to do some more homework.

    Will keep you/all posted.

This was sent to me from someone on another Forum where I posted the same question.

Interestingly, found this in a Google search:
    http://www.palm.com/au/products/accessories/treo500/

Scroll down to the "PalmŪ 4GB microSDHC expansion card with miniSD and SD adapters" and the following note is there:

I wonder what software update it refers to - the WM6 one or something else?

Yup, it refers to WM6. Palm should have been more clearer on that.

Simple rule of the thumb; According to MS, WM6 supports SDHC while the latter does not.

With SDHC support, you use any size as the max size is 32GB through the use of adapters.
